For the past week, I have been working on formal design materials that will be part of the event’s promotion and presentation materials. The process remains consistent: word diagrams, ideation, sketching, design, analysis and scrutinize everything. I have finalized the logotype, colors, typographic system and brand graphic elements.
With the feedback of some fellow designers, I have moved away from a strict and minimal design approach, to one that introduces controversial statements that make an immediate emotional connection with the viewer.
Aiming at the fabric of designers and our self-perception, will help to engage with the public and invite adequate action: question the state of the design field, share the information with others and eventually attend the event. Final design work will be released soon, as sponsor details are finalized. Here are a few snapshots.
